Michelle Doublet in essence is a Transpersonal oriented Practitioner, blending her realms of psychotherapy, energy healing, yogic practice and philosophy. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, Trauma Informed, Reiki Practitioner and a Heart-Centered Mindfulness Coach. She believes in eclectic progressive applications of Mind Body Spirit integration, Holistic- whole person approach to wellness. She has been driven in helping her clients shift their lives from fear and disconnection back to connection, heart-centered, soulful living.
She works with individuals, couples, families and in group settings to ultimately help promote raising consciousness and connection. While empowering, taking on an inner strength based perspective with her clients, she allows a safe space for them to connect intuitively to themselves to rediscover their own power, taking the necessary steps to build upon and expand to make positive life lasting change within themselves and within their lives.
Michelle received her Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work (MSW) with a Trauma Focus from New York University. Her specialties include anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD and trauma. She assists those to gain a sense of internal power, connection, meaning and purpose. She instills hope, believes that it is possible to ‘find peace within the chaos’.
She is always learning and growing from her clients, strongly believes the importance of continual inner-growth work and self development. Currently she is working towards becoming Reiki Master Certified, most recently completing the Reiki Practitioner level 2 certification, a form of therapy based on the biofield. She has found by her clinical studies and life experiences that energy is a major factor in healing the negative reactivity in our nervous system, brain and body; helping us regulate on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.
In addition to her work in the mental health field and the yoga worlds, she has an extensive background with over 17 years in teaching dance, the performing arts and competitive fitness. She has travelled to North and South Dakota reservation, connecting with those who were in need. She is an advocate, presents & provides group work, related to Yoga and Mindfulness for Mental Health Agencies, School Districts & Hospital Weight Management programs on Long Island. Lastly, she works with OPWDD ISS program providing her Yoga Services.
Her method to assist her clients to create more balance, improve the overall wellness and the quality of their life is based on ones individual needs.
