Michelle Doublet, owner and founder of Thriving Light Wellness, a hub for trauma-informed healing, somatic integration, and soulful transformation, is in essence a Somatic Integrative and Transpersonal Oriented Practitioner, blending her realms of psychotherapy, energy psychology, energy work/medicine, yogic practice and philosophy. Bridging the path of healing between the Mind and Body. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (in the state of New York and Massachusetts), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional level 2, Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, Certified Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy (TRET) Practitioner, and a Somatic Embodiment Coach. She believes in eclectic progressive applications of Mind Body Spirit integration, Holistic- whole person approach to wellness. She has been driven in helping her clients shift their lives from fear and disconnection back to connection, heart-centered, soulful living.
She works with individuals and in group settings to ultimately help promote raising consciousness and connection, to align, reconnect with their bodies, release unresolved trauma, restore the nervous system and much more. While empowering, taking on an inner strength based perspective with her clients, she allows a safe space for them to connect intuitively to themselves to rediscover their own power, taking the necessary steps to build upon and expand to make positive life lasting change within themselves and within their lives.
Her specialties include anxiety, depression, OCD, grief/loss, PTSD, Trauma and Complex Trauma. She assists those to gain a sense of internal power, connection, meaning and purpose. She instills hope, believes that it is possible to ‘find peace within the chaos’.
She is always learning and growing from her clients, strongly believes the importance of continual inner-growth work and self development. She is a Reiki Practitioner, level 2 certified, a form of therapy based on the biofield along with Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) and Trauma Resolution Energy Therapy (TRET) Certified. She has found by her clinical studies and life experiences that energy is a major factor in healing the negative reactivity in our nervous system, brain and body; helping us regulate on a physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual level.
Michelle also brings a significant background in dance and fitness to her work, with years of experience leading movement-based programs across Long Island. She has introduced trauma-informed yoga and embodied practices to schools, community agencies, and weight management programs, making healing accessible across diverse settings and populations. This deep-rooted connection to the body continues to inform her integrative, somatic approach today.
Michelle holds her master’s degree in Social Work with a trauma focus from New York University (NYU). She earned her undergraduate degree from Molloy University in Social Work with a minor in Psychology, where she was recently honored with the 2025 Truth Seeker Award among all of Alumni, recognizing her dedication to the pursuit of truth, knowledge, and understanding, while fostering meaningful dialogue and mutual respect among diverse populations. This award reflects her alignment to Molloy's mission and her ongoing commitment to creating spaces where others feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey. Whether through one-on-one sessions, workshops, group classes, or immersive retreats, Michelle invites others to come home to themselves, creating compassionate spaces for embodied healing, nervous system restoration, and soulful realignment.
Her method to assist her clients to create more alignment, improve the overall wellness and the quality of their life is based on ones individual needs.
